'Despicable': Thousands Of Child Porn Images Found At Long Island Man's Home, DA Says A Long Island man is facing charges after police allegedly uncovered thousands of images depicting child sex abuse inside his home. Dominick Umbrino, age 70, of Ridge, was arraigned on 60 criminal counts in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 25. According to prosecutors, New York State Police were tipped off by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Umbrino was searching for child pornography online. Resident Purposely Sets Fire To Capital Region Home Near Cemetery, Police Say A 66-year-old man is accused of intentionally setting fire to his home in the region. Emergency crews in Rensselaer County were called at around 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, for a house fire in Troy’s Lansingburgh neighborhood, on 3rd Avenue near 106th Street. The home backs up to the Old Catholic Cemetery. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to Troy Police. Crews spent several hours dousing the fire. Know Him? Beer Bandit Nabs 15 Cases Of Corona From Long Island Convenience Store, Police Say If you recognize this beer bandit, police want to hear from you. The theft happened at around 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, in Deer Park, at the Sunoco station on Deer Park Avenue. Suffolk County Police said a man forced his way into the store before stealing 15 cases of Corona beer. He then fled in a four-door sedan.
