Woman Killed, Man, Infant Injured After House Fire Breaks Out In Suffolk County Police are investigating after a woman was killed and a man and an infant were seriously injured during a Long Island house fire. Suffolk County Police responded to the fire just after midnight on Friday, Feb. 18 at 360 Old Town Road, in East Setauket after receiving a 911 call. According to police, Stephen Ortner, a resident of the home, was able to escape through a second-floor window onto a roof ledge and hand his 10-month-old son to a passerby below, who then handed the child to rescuers. One Dead Following Shooting In Area, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the area. The shooting took place in Dutchess County around 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 at 49 Gifford Ave., in the City of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Sean Fitzgerald, of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, arriving officers found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound.  He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later, Fitzgerald said. One Killed, One Injured In Suffolk Home Invasion, Police Say One person was killed and another injured during a home invasion on Long Island. The incident took place around 3:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, in Suffolk County at a Coram home. According to the Suffolk County Police, multiple people broke into the home at 5 Everglades Lane and shot Eric Westby, a resident of the home, and beat a woman with a pistol. One Killed After Crashing Into Hydrant In Springfield A Western Massachusetts moped rider was killed after crashing into a fire hydrant. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 on Boston Road in Springfield. According to the Springfield Police Department Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, an adult man was riding a moped when he crashed into a fire hydrant. Alert Issued For Missing Hudson Valley 13-Year-Old Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help locating a teen who has been missing for more than two days. Ulster County resident Vaun Brown, age 13, of Kingston, was last seen leaving his home on Saturday, Feb. 12.
